On the afternoon of June 12th, 2024 Graduation Symposium for International Students of School of Economics(SOE) and the Third "Meeting with School Leaders" event were successfully carried out in meeting room 307, SOE. SOE Vice Dean, Kong Dongmin, Associate Professors of Finance Department, Peng Bin and Fang Zhuangzhi, and more than twenty international students participated in the event. The event was hosted by international student counselor, Ma Wenli(Mandy).
At the beginning of the activity, all international students present took turns to introduce themselves. They expressed their heartfelt thanks to their teachers and classmates who accompanied them in their growth and progress, and shared their learning and living experiences in the college, as well as their future career development plans. During this period, the three professors listened carefully to each student's speech and had exchanges with the students on topics such as the career planning and employment choices of international students.
Subsequently, Prof. Peng and Prof. Fang spoke as representatives of international student advisors.
Prof. Peng affirmed the efforts of international students during their studies at school, and recounted the warm stories of the graduated international students he had guided. At the same time, he shared his own learning and working experiences abroad, encouraging everyone to contribute to the prosperity and peaceful development of the world economy.
Prof. Fang sincerely congratulated the international students on their successful graduation, hoping that they would often return to their alma mater to see it. She also mentioned that the "Belt and Road Initiative" is an important and effective measure to address international development challenges, and everyone should seize this opportunity to promote international economic and cultural exchanges and common development.
Vice Dean Kong delivered a concluding speech. He hopes that the graduating international students, under the background of globalization and the "Belt and Road Initiative", can become a bridge connecting China and the world, actively participate in international economic cooperation and cultural exchanges with an open and inclusive attitude, and contribute to the building of a community with a shared future for mankind. He encouraged everyone to use their professional knowledge in countries and regions along the "Belt and Road Initiative" to promote economic connectivity, facilitate the liberalization and facilitation of trade and investment, boost local economic and social development, and at the same time provide intellectual support for Chinese enterprises to "go global", jointly drawing a new blueprint for economic cooperation along the "Belt and Road Initiative".
At the end of the activity, Vice Dean Kong, on behalf of the college, presented a meticulously prepared graduation souvenir album package to each international student who is about to embark on the journey back to their home country. This ceremony not only symbolizes the college's recognition and blessing for the academic journey of international students, but also reflects the deep affection of the college towards international students and their beautiful expectations for their future.
